Dycem® WorkZone: Heavy-Duty Contamination Control Mats

Dycem® WorkZone mats are the only effective solution for controlling floor-level contamination in areas with heavy-wheeled traffic.

Dycem WorkZone is specifically designed to attract, capture, and retain contamination from the wheels of forklifts, pallet trucks, and large carts up to 1280 lb/in² (90 kg/cm²), preventing unwanted particles from entering critical areas.

Because of Dycem WorkZone’s unique weight capacity and low-profile edging, wheels travel smoothly over the mat even in an environment with frequent and heavy loads.

Our WorkZone material incorporates silver ion-based Biomaster, a durable, long-lasting, and highly active antimicrobial ingredient, used to inhibit the growth of microbial contamination. When added to Dycem WorkZone during the manufacturing process, Biomaster is dispersed throughout and remains effective for the life of the product.

Dycem® WorkZone Best Practices

  • All goods-in and material entrances to critical or controlled areas.
  • Inside airlocks (MALs) and controlled product transfer areas from the warehouse.
  • In hallways between different controlled spaces or product lines.
  • Adjacent to critical products and processes.
  • At wheeled entry and exits to controlled storage and packaging areas.
  • Layered between ISO classifications and hygiene levels.
  • Keep the area where Dycem mats are installed clear and free from obstacles such as bins, crates, carts
    or racks.
  • Ensure no heavy items or equipment are left on the Dycem surface for prolonged periods of time.
  • During usage, your Dycem mats may look dirty. This is good and shows that the product is working to keep contamination out of your critical environments.
  • Slight scuffing may appear if shoes frequently drag across the Dycem mat in high-traffic areas, however, this does not affect performance.

For wheeled traffic, follow these guidelines…

  • Always travel in straight lines and continuous motion over the Dycem mats.
  • No sharp turning, stopping, sudden breaking, or sudden acceleration should occur on the Dycem material. This can result in damage to the surface.
  • When using pallet trucks and forklifts, ensure the forks are lifted to a minimum of 100 mm from the floor (providing a safe distance between the load and Dycem material, preventing dragging and tearing).
