Hygiene Testing (ATP) on request
As part of our commitment to excellent customer service, we offer a quick and easy ATP Test to give an indication of hygiene and cleanliness in seconds. The presence of contamination can be detected with a simple test based on the measurement of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is present in all animal, vegetable, bacteria, yeast and mould cells. The activity of cells is detected by the amount of ATP present. When ATP is brought into contact with the reagent combination luciferin/luciferase, a reaction takes place that emits light in direct proportion to the amount of ATP present.
The APT meter is designed to identify if ATP/bugs are present in critical areas making it easier to implement and manage an effective hygiene monitoring programme. It can be used:
Contamination levels are measured in 3 categories:
If the ATP result of your critical area is 300+ it is recommended that you evaluate your cleaning schedule.
If Dycem is not currently installed in your critical areas, evaluate the effectiveness of implementing Dycem’s Cleanzone Technology to adequately address the cleanliness of your facility.
As an extra aid, you may want to invite your microbiologist to come in and carry out some specific testing as the ATP gives an indication only.
